Warming up for another year of soccer and August is the best time to start. I have two selections for today but the Canada vs. Great Britton match will be posted later because I am waiting on some news about the GB line-up. I have the day off today so I am making the most of it.

Women’sOlympic Soccer

USA vs. New Zealand (9:30am ET) OVER 3 (-110) 3 Units

The knockout stage will begin today and the cream should rise to the top. I love watching the women more than the men sometimes. They almost never fake an injury and never give up on a play with no Prima Donna's.

I will cut to the chase: New Zealand is the BIG underdog today. The USA has scored 8 goals and conceded 2. They came back from 2-0 against France to beat France 4-2. If I was NZ; I would do my best to keep the US off the score board by playing a tight defensive game much like the way they played against GB and Brazil losing 1-0 to both and hope for a lucky break.

Unfortunately for the Kiwi’s (who squeaked in) the US attack is very powerful, too powerful for NZ and the best thing that can happen is if they score a quick one against the Americans and motivate them to come from behind.

If the US scores a couple the Kiwi’s will open up and that will expose them even more. Let’s face it…….when the US tastes blood……they want more!

The total may seem a little high at 3 goals but I say,………….Let the bleeding begin!!!
